When the method of mud displacement by blasting is used to improve a foundation,treatment of the final closure is always the key and difficult point for quality control.The paper deals with the problems developed in the treatment of the final closure for the southern dike for a project,analysis of the causes of the problems,plans for solving the problems and results of the treatment,thus enriching the theory and experience of mud displacement by blasting.
