The development of high performance concrete of high impermeability and high resistance to penetrability of chloride ions is the current trend in the construction of marine ports and harbours.The major measures taken in the development of such high performance concrete are reducing the water cemetitious material ratio and adding the ground admixtures.The paper presents mainly an introduction to the frost resistance of high performance concrete,produced in foreign countries,added with ground admixtures and the effect of microstructure of the concrete upon its frost resistance.
