For marine works with very thick foundation beds,compaction by blasting is one of newly developed compaction methods in recent years to consolidate the foundation beds.Compared with the heavy tamping method which has long been used,compaction by blasting is a method of high efficiency,more safer and high quality for consolidating foundation beds of 5 to 10m thick.
