文章提出了建立中国沿海海域波浪信息系统 ,为港口、海岸及海洋工程设计以及海洋环境保护、防灾减灾等提供可靠的依据 ,并介绍了波浪测量与模拟的发展现状 ,重点论述了建立波浪信息系统的可行性和具体做法。

The concept of establishing a wave information system for China's coastal waters is proposed in the paper.Such a wave information system will provide reliable data and information for the designs of port,coastal and oceanographic engineering,protection of oceanographic environment,and coastal disaster prevention.A review is made on the development of wave measurement and modeling.Emphases are given to the feasibility of setting up the proposed wave information system and the methods to set up such a system.
