The basic concept of various bank guarantees and bonds in international contract projects and internationally conventional principles for operation of these bank guarantees and bonds are presented in the paper.The author,based on his own experience in operating bank guarantees and bonds,describes how a contractor should make use of these guarantees and bonds and protect his own legitimate rights and interests in the course of operating these bank facilities.
