Abstract:According to the requirements of the actual container terminal, a rail-mounted container terminal physical model is
built. On this basis,an automated container terminal control system is designed by using S7-300 PLC and PROFIBUS-DP.
Moreover,based on SIMATIC Step7,automatic control procedures are written, including the automatic unloading,the
automatic loading,the jog control of each actuator,the reset,exception handling, emergency etc. The results show that the
control system and the control procedures had been successfully used in the model, and it is also available in practical control
systems.
