Abstract:The compound stabilizer performance is impacted by the ratio of expansible component and the quantity ratio of total
expansible component to cementations component. In this paper firstly cement is used as cementitious component, and
sulphoaluminate cement (or alumina cement) and gypsum is used as expansible component. Then the optimum ratio of
expansible component and the optimum quantity ratio of total expansible component to cementitious component are determined
by unconfined compressive strength test and XRD test, and the design method of ratio is proposed. The results show that:the
ratio of expansible component should guarantee every component react fully and generate expansible hydrates totally;the
optimum quantity ratio of total expansible component to cementitious component should be designed according to the porosity of
soil sample and the maximum porosity filling degree. These conclusions have important guidance significance for effective soft
soil stabilizer design.
