Being an important component of project contract management, the construction claim is a frequent occurrence, at
the same time, it goes through the whole process of construction. The contractor must fully realize the complexity and special
characteristics of claim process, and implement a claim correctly and reasonably. This paper summaries and discusses problems
in claims that a contractor would raise against the employer on the current port and waterway engineering market, which a
construction contractor can take as a reference for production and management.
