Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious with the rapid progress of ports. Ecological ports will
be a brand-new port to comply with the requirement of energy saving and emission reduction for ports. This paper analyzes
current situation of the advanced ecological ports in the U.S.A.，Japan，Australia，the U.K. and so on，discusses their
experiences to give directions to the development of ports in China. Based on the requirements of environmental protection in
ports，some important harbors are summed up the situation on ecological construction，such as Shanghai Port，Tianjin Port，
Dalian Port，and Shenzhen Port. According to the main problems which is caused during constructing ecological ports, this
paper puts forward some countermeasure to establish development model of ecological ports in china.
