Because the whole stiffness of the structure of all-vertical-piled wharf is less,the capacity for resisting the horizontal
loads is poor. To improve the shortage,the all-vertical-piled and mudsill wharf structure is proposed. This paper uses finite
element method and selects the nonlinearity reinforced concrete structure as a calculating model,analyzes and compares the
characteristics of deformation and stress of the all-vertical-piled with or without mudsill respectively under the horizontal force.
The results show that owing to the setup of mudsill in the all-vertical-piled wharf,the overall stiffness of the structure has increased;
thereby,its capacity to resist horizontal loads has improved greatly.
