Generation of pore pressure of soft clay under wave load was studied through cyclic triaxial test. The effect of consolidation
stress,cyclic stress ratio and cyclic period on it was investigated. Test results show that, in initial stage average pore
pressure developed fast, in later stage pore pressure developed slowly,pore pressure developed larger with large cyclic stress
ratio and cyclic period, but with small consolidation stress. A regression formula was established to fit experiment result;the effect
of test condition on regression parameter was studied. Analytical result show that: with the larger of cyclic stress ratio and the
smaller of consolidation stress,u*max becomes large,consolidation stress has a small effect on k and t;k and t will linear decrease
and increase with cyclic stress ratio;cyclic period have a minor effect on u*max and t,k will decrease linear with cyclic
period.
