This paper investigates the corrosion and protection conditions of one wharf in Yingkou Port and the scope of investigation
includes the external conditions，coating thickness, wall thickness, protection potential and cathodic protection system，
etc. of steel pipe piles. The results show that most of the steel pipe piles are generally in good conditions with no obvious coating
damage and local corrosion and the wall and coating thickness meets the demands with a normal protection potential. But a few
steel pipe piles have local damage to coatings and the protection potential of some steel pipe piles is insufficient because of the
damaged rectifier or low output current.
