Abstract：Corrosion mechanism of steel bars in reinforced concrete and common optic fiber sensing technology are briefly introduced
in this paper. Recent progress in the technical research on the monitoring technology based on optic fiber sensors for
corrosion protection of steel bars in reinforced concrete is reviewed. Finally，the direction of development to apply the technology
for practical corrosion monitoring of steel bars is expounded.
