Abstract：Observation of shore and slope deformation is an important part in the engineering construction of wharfs and
breakwaters in Tianjin port. However，there is no definite observation criteria stipulated in corresponding standards. Through
some observation practices of wharfs and bank slopes，breakwaters and Cofferdams，this paper proposes a set of observation
criteria，and validates it with engineering practices. The practices prove that the criteria are feasible，and it can be applied
and can be further improved in future works.
