The non-navigation span of Wuhan Erqi Bridge has a 6伊90 m steel-concrete composite girder,the open steel
channel beam and the precast deck are combined through the shear nails on the top of the beam. Through cambering,integra原
tion and falling in place,compressive stress is stored in the deck,so the tensile stress in the deck around the pier is reduced
caused by later dead load. The tensile properties of steel and the compression performance concrete are used fully,so the
deck cracking is reduced and the structural durability and safety are improved.
