Based on the available classification of dredged rocks in domestic and foreign dredging specifications, analysis is
made in consideration of the characteristics of rocks and a new idea is put forward to classify dredged rocks by first modifyingthe uniaxial compressive strength of rock，Rb，with the integrity index KV，and then classifying dredged rocks by combiningwith the shear strength 子. In addition，weighting method is introduced to facilitate the calculation of the rocks. By the additionof new indicators and the introduction of the new method，rocks are more reasonably classified and the classification methodis more operable and has a high practical value.
