Huanghua Port lies in the silt-sandy coast and has large siltation. Using tabor hopper dredger to carry out dredging
in the berths is difficult and the dredging cost is high. Using smaller trailing suction hopper dredger to carry out dredging in the berths has effectively solved the difficulties in Huanghua berths忆dredging and the cost was cut by about more than 50% when comparing with the using of cutter suction dredgers，resulting in zero-disturbance to the normal navigation operation of other vessels. It explores the most economical，convenient and no interferential construction technology for berths忆dredging in siltsandy coasts.
