During the construction of Berth 1 and 2 at Dalanping in Qinzhou Port of Guangxi，the large diameter cylinders slipped before backfilling. This article proposes five different methods to tackle the problem. After technical and economic comparison，the re-position method using longer screws to secure the soleplate was adopted. Based on the observation of re-positioned large diameter cylinders, it proved that adopted measures were effective to ensure the construction quality of the berths.
