Corrosion monitoring of reinforcement in concrete is of importance to ensure the design life of the infrastructure. In this paper the principle of anode ladder systems,as well as their application in the Marine Works for East Container Terminal-Phase 2-in Port Said is discussed. Primitive corrosion monitoring shows that exterior environment and construction technique of concrete have significant influence on the monitoring results. For anode ladders located in different places,a single criterion is not sufficient to determine and predict corrosion. Long term monitoring is required in order to observe the sudden changes of voltage and current of anode ladders and to make accurate determination.
